Your scripts and library
No account is required. Scripts, Trash, reading positions and settings are stored locally on your Mac. An earlier draft may be retained during upgrades. Optional speech models are also stored on your Mac after download.
Your device backups, exported scripts and copies you share are handled by the tools and destinations you choose. Removing a script from the app does not remove separate copies or backups.
Microphone and voice-follow
Voice-follow requires microphone permission. Recognition runs on your Mac after setup. Teleprompter does not upload or save microphone audio and does not request camera access. You can manage microphone permission in macOS System Settings.
Apple Speech is the default recognition option. Optional local speech models must be downloaded before use. Their third-party licenses apply to those models.
Downloads and internet connections
Model downloads need an internet connection. Download providers receive ordinary network request information, such as an IP address. Your selected recording app and Apple’s system services have their own privacy practices.

If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send. Please do not send private script content unless it is needed for your request and you want to share it. This website has a separate website privacy policy.
Your choices and updates
You can use auto-scroll without voice-follow, manage microphone permission, choose whether to download optional models and manage your local scripts. Contact support@saltypanda.com for help. This page will be reviewed against the distributed app before public launch.
